Dissatisfaction among farmers regarding the marketplace law

Romanian farmers are not satisfied with the new marketplace law and its application. The problems they face are varied. Among others, farmers complain about the selling log, which can only be used by first degree family members, meaning that farmers owning larger holdings, where the entire family works, can only sell the products through first degree family relatives. Also, authorised natural persons having as object of activity the production of fruits and vegetables are considered merchants, not agricultural producers. As a result, the fact that only 40% of the stands in the marketplaces in Romania are allocated to the producers is problematic, because they are not able to sell their goods.
