Farmers losing crops due to adverse weather conditions — more and more land damaged by hail

Damage might be avoided if Romania had an efficient system of anti-hail rocket stations. Our country has too few launching points and more and more storms.

Our country has only 34 launching points for anti-hail rockets, and theoretically, there will be 60 by the end of the year. Even so, they will only cover a quarter of the territory.

We must be able to protect agricultural crops with a high economic value (e.g. vineyards, orchards and greenhouses), as well as rural communities in the areas of intervention, against dangerous weather events related to climate changes. This is postponed, however, due to lack of funds.

What tools does the Commission have to regulate active interventions in the atmosphere to counter dangerous weather events?
