Veterinary medicine is of great importance to farming sector as a whole, which depends on the quality of veterinary services and training and on effective communication between veterinarians on the one hand and local, national or international authorities on the other. In this connection, complaints are being heard from veterinarians in Romania regarding the increased number of animals they are required to care for, the non-payment of subsidies and the lack of effective communication with the authorities and with farmers’ associations.
