The modernisation of the agricultural machinery fleet in Romania

The agricultural machinery fleet in Romania suffers both because of the small number of such machines and because they are obsolete, if not out of use, both technically, and in terms of performance. At present, the national tractor fleet is of 184 000 units, but 73% of them have exceeded their normal service life, and 30% are more than 20 years old. This makes it impossible for Romanian agriculture to be truly professional. Also, because most of the farms in Romania are small or medium-sized, they do not have sufficient funds to be able to purchase professional agricultural machinery. Taking into account the above:

What measures does the Commission consider could be applied with a view to the modernisation of the agricultural machinery fleet in Romania?

What are the financial instruments that the Commission has available for the support of small and medium-sized farms, in order for them to be able to purchase advanced agricultural machinery?
